NetBackup jbp logs

I'm looking for large files on one server to clean, and I discover in c:\program files\Veritas\NetBackup\logs\user_ops\nbjlogs one file called jbp.082014122945,35.log. with 8GB.

I don't know what is this file and if I can delete.

Thank you

That is the log for the Java GUI.  If you close the Java GUIs (there is oe log for every GUI that is opened, you can safely delete it.  It is recreated when the next window is opened.

The vxlogmgr command has a -F option to flush the logs Ex. vxlogcfg -F You likely want to check your logging levels to make sure they are not too verbose (if they are 5 or 6 its probably too high unless you are troubleshooting), you can check it with this: vxlogcfg -p 51216 -o 117 -l Also this may have more info: http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH44292
