NetBackup media server physical or virtual?

Hello,

Can I use a VM as media server and install the ost plugin on it to connect to a StoreOnce appliance?
Or does the media server in this case have to be a physical server?

Hello,

Media Servers with Disk/MSDP/OST/Cloud type of storage can be virtual.

Only Media Servers with Tape type of storage must be physical.
