NetBackup support for Multi-Factor Authentication

HPosenRU

There is a knowledge based article (100043814) that says 8.1.1 and older doesn't support MFA / 2FA yet but will in the furture. Does anyone know if 8.1.2 or 8.2 supports them?

Thank you.

8.2 has introduced limited support for 2FA, but only for the WebUI, not the classic JAVA console.
The support is for smartcard based authentication for CAC/PIV cards.

Not what I was hoping to hear but thank you for the information.

At least its a start. About time given that backup/recovery is becoming a fashionable item to hack into and kill off before the nasties get into the business system.

It all started with the Guardians of Peace getting into Sony fours yeas ago and crippling their ability to recover first. Having all that online backup storage and making it available for those quick recoveries also make it available for quick deletion/destruction by a malicious agent that knows what they are doing.
