Netbackup 6.5.5/7 and STK L700 Library

Oracle is looking to update our code version (firmware) on our STK L700 robotic library. The following is the current code version on the library display panel:

1) master = 3.14.00

2) master1 = 3.15.02

We need version 3.18.02 on both the libraries.

I was hesitant to have them do the update until I get a confirmation from Symantec (or clients) that have experienced little to no problem with the updates.

My NBU environment is on version 6.5.5 but will be upgrading to NBU 7.0 at teh end of this quarter (2011).

If you have any input, please reply back.

Thank you

Jay Son

In all the years we've had our L700, we have never had an issue caused by the robot firmware.

The L700 have been on the market for many years and is function stable. You can upgrade without worries.

I just wanted to thank you all for your feedback. I will go ahead and schedule Oracle to come out and update firmware.
