Netbackup 6.5 install automatically installed cluster

Why is it that when our company installed Netbackup 6.5 on our Windows Server 2003 it automatically installed a cluster on the system?  It also installed some services that aren't even used.

I know I've seen a tech note about it somewhere. Do a search and I'm sure you'll find it.  Basically it came down to the fact that you can safely disable the cluster services if you don't need them.

there are some services that go to the cluster by default has PBX, you can prevent this with:

check on how to use the silentclient.cmd also perform a google for it and you will get a lot of good tips.
hope this helps.

Omar, has this worked for you.

When I did the upgraded to 6.5.2a  I put that in all of my scripts (6.5 x86, 6.5.2a x86, 6.5 x64 6.5.2a x64)

and I still ended up with the PBX resurces in the clusters ( which we then had to disable and remove via Change Control).

I have looked at that line over and over and over and cannot figure out why.

Question might be is how is that called ( is it only used if you use "slient install script"?)

I use the exe and push to a bunch of servers at once.
