Netbackup 7.0.1 with Data Domain OST plugin

We are using SLPs to replicate data backup images from one DD to another . While the duplication job is showing successful on the source and I can see space getting used up in the target , we are not able to see the source backup images in the target . Do we need to manually import the images on the target server  and how we should do that . We are using Netbackup 7.0.1 . Please suggest on the same . Thanks !!

No you cant.

What we do is copy the relevant catalog files from the source master server onto the target master server.  We then run a bpcatsync command on the destination master which tells it to search its known STUs for the specified backup image.

I'm actually working with VERITAS and Data Domain .... hopefully a future version of AIR (automatic image replication) will support OST.

If both storage servers (data domain devices) are in the same NBU domain then you should see the images. Where are you looking?

I am looking on the target Netbackup Master server

Copy 1 = Local DD

Copy 2 = Remote DD

do a bpimagelist -l -backupid image_xxxxxxxxx and post results.

On NBU master, go to catalog and search for images by the specific storage server. You should have a image for copy 1 and copy 2. Can you confirm that the optimized duplication job was successful?

Still cant see the duplicated images from teh source in the target . Please find the below output from the source server

Yeah the duplication job was successful and I can also see the copy 1 and copy 2 from the source netbackup master server . Can we see the images from the netbackup master server where the target DD is configured so that we can restore from the destination netbackup master

ok I guess netbackup 7.1 supports AIR and does automatically import the images on the destination master server . Is that true , as we are going to upgrade to 7.1 very soon

Yes... however the op-dup / ost stuff as of yet does not support AIR.

VERITAS says they're waiting on data domain to update the BOOST plugin.
