Hi All
Im currently trying to install Netbackup client on a Win 2003 server 64bit,After uninstalling backupexec and then installing NBU.
02-22-2013,13:58:33 : Could not retrieve CustomActionData MSI property.
then later ends with this
02-22-2013,13:58:35 : Action ended 13:58:35: INSTALL. Return value 3.
I have tried numerious ways such as:
1. cleaning registry
2. run locally
wondering if you have any ideas how to fix
Please note: i also tried to install backupexe client and it failed too

and Product version, source of Install package and Errors if any

May be you have already done. But Just re-verify it and check if it works.. i did got same error on system where i removed NBU client and was trying to promote it as master server.
Remove all NBU Directory reference
download everything search tool for quick search across all local drives (http://www.voidtools.com/download.php)
It takes 2-3 mins to build up NTFS journal
Search for following
Veritas, Symantec, BackupExec, NetBackup
Do verify you do not have any other products deployed from same family or has dependency direct/indirect.

You seem to have a problem with Windows installer on this client.
Please open a support call with Microsoft.
