Netbackup 7.1 restore problem with new implementation

 Dear Guys,

  I have installed Netbackup 7.1 with WIN 2K8 64 bit os (media server,master server and ops manager), I can take backup while i am trying to restore i am getteing no media server. Error status below,

Server (Master Server) does not contain any backup for client
(media server)using the specified policy type (Ms-windows) as requested by client
(masters server)

Could anyone help above errors

Please check the Netbackup Machine and Policy Type are specified correctly,

they should match the machine and type that are provided in Policy.

You should always use the clients full qualified domain name (e.g. host.acme.com). In the Netbackup world host1.acme.com and host1 are different hosts. Using the "wrong" name will return the "does not contain any backup for client" message.

Hello Saran,

1. Check whether the Source Client specified in BAR console is same as in Host Properties.

2. Check whether you mentioned the same policy type in BAR Console as mentioned in the policy attributes.

Policy Type should be: MS-WINDOWS

3. Check the Restore type in the BAR Console.

Restore Type: Normal Backups
