More info please....
Has this worked fine before and now giving an error?
Or new installation that has never worked before?

Are you opening the console directly on the master server or remotely from your desktop?

Can you check from cmd (open with Run as Administrator) which processes are running with bpps command?

Hello,

Looks like your master unable to read its own configuration. Possibly due to name resolution problem.

Verify whether you have changed the hostname or ip on hostsfile or DNS. Just try bpclntcmd -clear_host_cache and then verify.

First of all check if all servecies are running. If they do, double check master-server name (resolving, FQDN). In the regestry check HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Veritas\NetBackup\CurrentVersion\Config\ and ensure that following keys EMMSERVER  snd Server have correct values.
