Netbackup 7.6 connection_options setting for DMZ

Hi All,

I just want to know whether it is mandatory to change the firewall settings or the connect_options settings for clients in DMZ, if the environment is Netbackup 7.6. and firewall is between master and media servers.

Is it mandatory to do these settings or teh default values will be enough to carry out the backup and restore for DMZ clients, where master server is outside DMZ.

Kind Regards

Manish

There is no need to change any settings in Host Properties.

Server and client comms will by default use port 1556 (PBX).
Just ensure that this port is open bidirectional between server(s) and DMZ client.

Detailed port requirements are listed here:

Thanks for the information Marianne. Is it documented somewhere, that default settings will solve the purpose, even for DMZ clients. I need to present the same to client, and looking for something in black and white.

The 2 pages of Chapter 1 in the 'Ports Reference Guide' explains that the default settings in Connect Options of Host Properties should be used.

Hope this is enough to present to your customer?
