Netbackup 8.1 Launch

Hello -  I would want to know wherther Netbackup 8.1 is launched  for GA? i could see NBU 8 is in GA but some compatability giudes are coming with mentioned with NBU 8 & 8.X.X , does that mean its out for GA ?

8.1 / 8.0.1 is still in Beta testing.

NBU 8.1 is scheduled for GA release 9/26/2017... This was annouced at Veritas Vision.

Will 8.1 support VMWare Linux XFS file systems?

No it will not. We asked the question about XFS at Vision...at least not from a file level recovery perspective.

Seems not.

See Table 12  'VMware guest operating systems supported for file-level recovery' in latest Statement of Support for NetBackup 7.x and 8.x in a Virtual Environment.

Table 13 shows XFS - Planned for a future release.
