Netbackup - Directories & File selection

Folks,

Have a standalone HP DAT24 tape drive connected to backup server which Netback see without issues to run some backup and restore tests.  I would like to do a manul backup and then a restore of some selected files and directories that are on the backup server.  Where in Netbackp does it allow for the selection of selected files and directories?  I see in the Administration Console, when you select Backup, Archive, Restore within the tree you can do the selection here, but then how to you direct the job to go to the tape drive?  Is this done by creating and defining a specific policy?

Yes, you need to Create a policy, add a server as client (which has nbu client installed), create a schedule type "User Backup". Then open the BAR gui , and select files to backup.
