Netbackup GRT Exchange 2013

Hey,

Need some advice.

Been trying to set up Exchange 2013 GRT backups using Netbackup 7.5.0.6. Followed a combination of various instructions, videos, admin guides that I managed to find all over the net. Finally had some success today:

Backups complete with status 1 and when I go to BAR gui I can only drill down as far as Database, but can't see individual mailboxes/items/etc.

Had to disable Message level cataloging in Host Properties > Master Server > General Server, because Tape duplication was failing.

When checking the backup log for errors saw the following:

29/01/2014 11:04:58 a.m. - Error bpbrm(pid=3116) from client redacted: ERR - Exchange granular enabled backups are not supported for Exchange 2013.

Is it a setup/settings/access issue or a feature?

It is a support issue:

ERR - Exchange granular enabled backups are not supported for Exchange 2013.

Footnote under Microsoft Exchange section:

1. GRT is not supported with Exchange 2013.

Pity that Admins do not check support before they upgrade.....
