Netbackup Instant Recovery

I am running master on 7.1.0.4 windows 64 bit - Exchange servers  running on 7.1.

I also have backup's configured for them using IBM VSS HW provider and they are sucessful.

I am trying to enabled Instant recovery now for those backup to hold the SNAP's on the SVC disk instead of transferring to the final storage unit but the policy windows throws an error.

Tried with both the following  backup selections.  Can someone help on it.

Microsoft Exchange Database Availability Groups:\GSN0-LPC-N-MailDB21 - throws error
Microsoft Information Store:\GSN0-LPC-N-MailDB21 - job failed with Err  # 72

I cannot find any reference to DAG with Instant Recovery in the NBU for Exchange Manual.

Probably not supported due to the distributed nature of databases?

Under VSS Snapshot Providers Support for Microsoft Windows > Exchange Comments

Recovery from local or off-host snapshot (I.e., Instant Recovery using software or hardware VSS providers) is not supported in a DAG environment.
It will work if you are using standalone Exchange.
