Netbackup Integrated with NetApp SMO

Team,

Oracle backups are performed using NetApp SMO (Snapshot Manager for Oracle).

From the Netbackup Application, Policy was created and selection list gets update with the latest snapshot every day. Which I'm not sure how it is happening exactly.

Now the issue, Sometimes latest snapshots are not getting updated & Backup is failing. As a turnaround we request storage team for the latest snapshots & will update manually & will start the backup.

Same is happening frequently. So I want to troubleshoot this issue. But not sure where and what need to checked.

Also I am looking for the information how does the latest snapshot is getting updated automatically?

First check the snapshot compatibilty list to see if your solution is supported. That would give you an idea if its controlled by nbu or some custom scripts.

Thank for your response, I found the answer. 

Few scripts were written in Netbackup Backup Server
