Netbackup JAVA Administration console for WIN 8

Hi all,

I want to ask how can I run NBU JAVA ADM CONSOLE in Windows 8?? 

Also anyone installed NBU 7.5 on Windows Server 2012???

The O/S compatibility list says you'll need to wait for 7.6 to have a Java GUI on Windows 8.

Right now, NetBackup clients on Windows 2012 need to be 7.5.0.6.  (In 7.6, you can install clients OR servers on Windows 2012, according to the CL just linked.)  I'll have to leave it to others to share their NetBackup on Windows 2012 experiences...I hope they're all fantastic and pain-free!

As per above post - Win 8 only supported as from 7.6.

You may be lucky get NBU 7.5 Java console to work. Use Windows installation media and install from  \Addons\x64\JavaInstallFiles folder, followed by 7.5.0.6 patch:  http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH204657

About Win2012 - yes. we have customers backing it up as NBU client.
