Netbackup Legal Holds

Not applicable
I have to find some user shares that were backed up with Netbackup 6.5.1 Unix as well as Windows and I have to:

1# Find all the backups made for the user ID
2# Place the tapes on infinate retention
3# make sure that backups going forward are on infinate retention

What is the easiest way to do this?  I have a big list so this would take a while to do manually?

Thank you in advance,

John

1. Use the bplist command to find all backup images that contain the pathname(s) in question.
2. Use the bpimagelist command to find the corresponding list of media that contain those images.
3. The the bpexpdate command to set the retention level on those tapes to infinite.
4. Use the bppllist (or the NetBackup Admin Console GUI) to find the backup policies that backup the server(s) that house the user shares, then adjust the retention level of those backups to be infinite.
