Netbackup Licensing for SAP

Hi,

Can anyone suggest what NetBackup licensing is applicable for the below 

SAP ECC Quality Assurance
SAP ECC Production (Clustered)	(Node 1)
	(Node 2)

I suggest you contact youre local Symantec sales office or reseller.

I was advised by our local Symantec office that licensing term has changed/about to change. Best to inquire  them for correct information.

Yes you are right, The licensing with Tier's has been changed. 

How ever do you have any idea which license would be applicable for  SAP ECC development? Does it needs the agent for sap or the standard client?

My understanding is: if you use the agent, you pay for the agent. One agent per physical, which can be running more than one SAP instance.

If you backup cold, theres not much point in using the agent.

You dont need to use the agent to back up hot, there are other methods built in to both SAP and possibly your OS.
