Dear Community,

I am looking for some kind of workaround for the issue I am having:

08/07/2019 11:29:55 - Error bpbrm (pid=7516) Request from host MEDIASERVER to host CLIENT is not allowed access. Host MEDIASERVER is not an authorized server for host CLIENT.
08/07/2019 11:29:56 - Error bpbrm (pid=7516) bpcd on CLIENT exited with status 59: access to the client was not allowed

Any Ideas?

thanks

Alejandro

Does CLIENT have a SERVER entry for MEDIASERVER?
Can CLIENT resolve the IP address from the media server to hostname MEDIASERVER?
(bpclntcmd -ip <MEDIASERVER-IP-address> )

Please create bpcd log folder on CLIENT and run bptestbpcd from MEDIASERVER:
bptestbpcd -client CLIENT -verbose -debug

Please post output of command as well as bpcd log on CLIENT (please copy the log to bpcd.txt).

Hello,

with Netbackup 7.x STS certifications, you should be able to cope with this error by yourself. Status 59 exists in NetBackup for ages.

You need to run bptestbpcd from the MEDIASERVER that is mentioned in the restore error, not MASTER.
