The lowest retention level in the enevironment is 7 days (level 0)
We want to reduce that to 1 day retention (level 0)
Saw a impact report to be executed while executing changes in the master server's host properties.
Please let me know what is the exact procedure and the imapcts it can occur in existing schedule

When you select the retention level it will show you all of the schedules that use it
If you change it it will change all of those schedules to use the new retention level (after a service re-start anyway)
It will not affect anything that you have already backed up - only future backups using those schedules
You can change any retention level except level 9 which is fixed at infinity
So if you want a 1 week retention level you can select any of them apart from 9 and set it to 1 day and then start to use it - but if schedules already use that one they will get changed for future runs
Hope this helps

also i would suggest you not to chage the existing retenctions..
use of the infinity retenction level (other than 9) to customize to your requirement and use that retenction level into your policies schedule that requires that schedule
in this way you can specifically select policies which requires the 1 day retenction and does not need to worry about the polices that are having 7 days.. ( if you dont what to chage that.. )
