Hi All,
I need a help on implementation of SQL intelligent policy.
I would like to know what is the best practice and schedule :
For full and incremental database backups.
for Transaction log backup.
Also does it support configuration of policy for SQL servers in clusters.
It will be great if someone can share sample configuration.
Solved! Go to Solution.

Hello,
RPO (data loss) and RTO (recovery time) should be specified by "data owner", not by backup admin. So consult appropriate person and then scheduling and backup strategy can be set up.
So there is no "best practise" for these parameters, sometimes RPO = 1 week is enough and sometimes 1hr is not enough.
Also there is no difference for this if SQL policy is intelligent or script-based.
For cluster support , server and SQL client must be on NetBackup 7.7.2.
Regards
Michal
