Dear Friends,

Could any one help me to script to have the following information in the netbackup email notification mail triggered by backup_exit_notify script.

Is there any way to configure the notify script to provide me the following info as well in the notification mail after completion of a data backup.

Client Name : (Exist now)

Policy :  (Exist now)

Scedule : (Exist now)

Schedule Type :  (Exist now)

Completion Status : Failed / Successfull / Successful with Warnings

The backup session log as attachment or mail body is also required.

Thanks in advance

The completion status should be straight forward, is a parameter passed to backup_exit_notify, the fifth if I remember correctly

You could use the jobid parameter to attach the job log from db/jobs

The standard questions: Have you checked: 1) What has changed. 2) The manual 3) If there are any tech notes or VOX posts regarding the issue

Thanks for the reply.

Is it possible to Script some lines within the backup_exit_notify script sothat the OUTF file have information of whether the backup is successful / failed instead of exit codes?

Client Name : XXXX

Policy :  YYYY

Scedule : AAAA

Schedule Type : BBBB

Completion Status : Success

I dont know the basics of Windows scripting, any help on this is  appreciated

Thanks and regards
