Hi,
Please your help with this question, the default local user name nbwebsvc, and the default local group nbwebgrp (non-clustered environment), this account/group can have different names and can be domain accounts (not local accounts)?
Thank you!
Regards
Rafael

Hi @rafanto
The actual username and group can be anything that you like. I know a lot of customers that use different names that better suit their internal naming conventions.
For non-clustered master servers the account can be either local or domain on Windows again whatever suits the local conventions/requirements. Don't forget to enable this account to login as a service (via local security policy or group policy) as per the documentation.
For clustered on Windows the account really needs to be a domain account to ensure the user has the same SID on each system.
Cheers

Hi, thank you for your response, if we initially install NBU with a local user, we can't change later, that's correct? or exist some procedure to change this local user to domain user?

HI @rafanto
It is possible to change the user/group and there is an article describing how to do this: https://www.veritas.com/support/en_US/article.100047147
I would tread with caution though and make sure you have a ready way to revert back to the previous user (or state) - such as a snapshot if the master is a VM. Either that or be ready to call Veritas support.
