Netbackup and Replication Director (Netapp 7mode)

Maybe someone knows a solution for this. We use the Replication Director for our 7mode NetApps.

Sometimes after a restart of the master server we could see that Snapshots on the primary Netapps are not deleted and they reside there until we restart the master server again and sometimes it is necessary to restart the DFM server too.

Does someone also have this behavior.

Is 7-mode even supported with 8.1.2 and Replication Director? 

The HCL only shows versions from Clustered Data ONTAP 8.2.3 up to Data ONTAP 9.5.

Hello Marianne,

yes you are right. The official support endend with Netbackup 7.7 or so. But anywhy I cannot spirit it away ;) But we are on the way to migrate the last NetApps to cDot soon. Sometimes it isnt easy - on the one hand we need 7mode and repl. dir and on the other hand I need BMR for Windows Server 2019.
