Hello Experts!
I have a problem regarding installation of 7.6.0.2 on AIX server
I downloaded the installer from the web console > download selection > choose AIX
So the problem is, the installation stops at the point where it says "Updating LiveUpdates registration now... this may take some time"
then the root# appears.
I run the ./install many times but still its same thing happens
Thanks!

Registation to live update is the last phase of the installation...
did you see any errors messages other than this...?
if not.. i would pfert to test the installation... because it might have compleated the installation...
so try to do some communication check and the do the test backup and restore see how it works...

There are no other errors sir.
I run ps -ef | grep netbackup and found that there are 3 services that are running:
/usr/openb/netbackup/bin/nbdisco
/usr/openb/netbackup/bin/vnetd -standalone
/usr/openb/netbackup/bin/bpcd -standalone
are this services are the only one running or it should be many?

You are right. The Netbackup client only need 3 services running.
nbdisco is new for NBU 7.6 and does discovery of Oracles Databases for the Netbackup intelligent policies.

Ok sir thank you!
so meaning my installation on AIX was successful eventhough it stops at "Updating LiveUpdates registration now... this may take some time" line, or should it have atleast a confirmation that my installation was successfull

yes.. go ahead and test the backup and restore to get the confirmation by your self..
good luck

Please check processes again to ensure PBX is running (in addition to processes mentioned above).
/opt/VRTSpbx/bin/pbx_exchange
If so, you are good to go.
