Hi

I have installed Netbackup Agent Version 8.0 on one of my Linux clients , There are  no firewall or iptaples configured and the status of #ufw status is Inactive . I have added this client in my master server , but I'm not able to connect to it .I  can not Telnet to 1556  port . and I'm sure that Netbackup client agent is up .( /usr/openv/netbackup start) .

what should I do ?

You need to check if these processes are running using 'ps -ef'.

If you actually ran these commands, it would probably start the processes if they were not running previously.

Have you checked if NBU is actually running on the client?

Check for :
/opt/VRTSpbx/bin/pbx_exchange
/usr/openv/netbackup/bin/vnetd -standalone
/usr/openv/netbackup/bin/bpcd -standalone

@Mariannes I get nothing when I execute those commands

The commands would not display any output.

Have you checked processes with 'ps -ef' ?
Or
ps -ef | egrep 'pbx_exchange|vnetd|bpcd'  ?

@Kasra_Hashemi Please inspect the installation log, I don't seems the client has been correctly installed.

What Linux distribution are you using ?

Is it a 64 bit edition ?

@Kasra_Hashemi

Have you been able to check if NBU processes are running on the client?

Please also have a look at this doc (Ubuntu is also mentioned):
https://www.veritas.com/support/en_US/article.000106399

The TN is for NBU servers, but if the issue is with OS startup method, then clients will also be affected.
