Hi,
i have configured 3 months ago, a Netbackup replication to Datadomain. So, the network interface used has been changed with a new name/ip. How can i change the ip without the need configure a new replication, in order to continue with the replica already configured?
Thanks in advance,
Best Regards

Hopefully only the IP address has changed and not the name?
And hopefully NBU is configured with Storage Server hostname and not IP address?
For IP address change, it should be sufficient to modify IP address in hosts files and/or DNS.
Verify that 'ping <dd-hostname>' uses the correct IP address.
It will be probabably necessary to restart NBU services on media servers as well and perform
bpclntcmd -clear_host_cache.
If a private network has been configured for DD-replication, then NBU will have no knowledge of this change, as long as DD is configured correctly.
Other NBU/DD experts like @Nicolai and @Mouse may have more valuable input.

To little information to provide a correct answer.
If the Data Domain has a new IP address, a simple DNS update should do the job. As Marianne has pointed out it may be needed to clear DNS cache in Netbackup

Hi mate, can you clarify a few things:
What was configured and how? One NBU master with two Data Domains and specific interface on the appliances using LACP/specific interface or ifgroups? What you would like to change - the replication interface in Data Domain?
The Data Domain side is easy to change, if you used a specific interface, you should change mappings in /etc/hosts, modify the static route and reconfigure LACP if it was used and anything changed. If you used ifgroups then it is even easier, just change the parameters under Protocols -> DD Boost -> IP Network
In most cases NBU is not even aware which interface Data Domain is using for replication.
