Hello all,
Im getting hundreds of error 13, 23, 24 25, 29, 54, 83 and 84s.
These occur when using OST to a Quantum DXI. They do not happen to alternative storage.
I have found a few errors relating to OST but not much:
[root@lonbsp01 admincmd]# ./bperror -all -hoursago 3 -U | grep sts
08/22/2011 08:42:44 lonmsp02 europium sts_get_server_prop_byname failed: error
08/22/2011 08:42:44 lonmsp02 europium failure to open sts for storage server
08/22/2011 08:43:28 lonbsp01 lonvmp02 sts_get_server_prop failed: error 2060014
08/22/2011 08:43:28 lonbsp01 lonvmp02 sts_close_server failed: error 2060014
08/22/2011 10:36:29 lonmsp03 lonprofp03 sts_get_image_prop failed: error
08/22/2011 10:40:20 lonmsp03 lonprofp03 sts_get_server_prop failed: error
Any ideas? Has anyone had a similar issue?
Please im only interested in people having this issue with OST devices,
Any help appreciated,
Regards,
Mark

2060046 is a plugin error. The OST plugin is writtenand support by DataDomain, so you will need to log a call with your data domain support to start with.
Searching the sym db shows multiple hits for "2060046 " - of the x4 I looked at at random, all were issues on the DD side.

OST is a standard devloped between symantec and several vendors:
Your best bet is to try to get support from quantum.

OST not not soley DataDomain...
Your best bet in this scenario is to try to get support from quantum.

try running "/usr/openv/netbackup/bin/admincmd/bpstsinfo -pi" and see if it identifies the plugin first. If not, try to uninstall/reinstall the plugin.
