Network devices (Switch, routers and firewalls) backup

Hi Team,

Is there is any possibility to take backup of Network devices (Switches, firewalls and routers) through netbackup?

In general the answer is no not directly. You need to be able to install a client on the device to achieve this, and these types of devices usually do not allow this (nor would they have a client version that supports their architecture/OS).

One way would be to dump the configuration you want to capture from the device onto a host that is being backed up. You should be able to automate this process either via task manager, cron or possible from the device itself. There are multiple ways to do this - investigate "expect scripts" for instance.
