Not Delete Archived Log Automatic

Davidsfs
Level 4

Hello everyone.
I have a problem with a policy, Oracle does not automatically delete the archived logs.
In the policy it is set up to make 3 copies and delete, but it does.
This will cause the filesystem to fill up.

The backup policy runs every 12 hours daily

Master server Netbackup 8.1.1 redhat 6.3
Version of AIX 7.1

Hi Davidsfs,

I've had a bit of a search and wonder if your issue might be related to the following:

https://www.veritas.com/support/en_US/article.000125398

It seems that if the Oracle setting "Backup Optimization" is set to ON, then your symptoms can occur.  As this is an Oracle setting, best to check and discuss this with your DBA.

Hope this helps,

Steve
