Try to specify the client and / or policy rather than the mediaid when you search

Are there valid, unexpired images on this tape?
Please show us output of this command: nbemmcmd -listmedia -mediaid EX0180
nbemmcmd is in netbackup\bin\admincmd.

Hi -

Could you type the media ID first on the media ID tab and browse by clicking the drop down menu and choose the same media ID.

Then give search again for the images , it should list as the media contains the images .

I hope the images on this tape are backup images not duplicated once

I am wondering if we are dealing here with a database timeout during the search.

According to nbemmcmd command there is only one valid image on the tape.

What does bpimmedia show for this media id?
If you have the image id, it will be easy enough to use bpduplicate from cmd.

HI Marianne

i am facing similar issue with other tapes also

the images on the other tapes are in high numbers

or is it that i need to run the bpduplicate command to make duplicate copy .....please confirm

As per my previous post - I am wondering if we are dealing here with a database timeout during the search.

This is why I have asked for bpimmedia (Images on media report).

Does it give expected output or an error?

Hi Marianne

please find the output below

$ sudo bpimmedia -mediaid EX0180
Password:
no entity was found

Please try to increase date range during you search for the duplicate. Also change the copy from primary to copy1 and give a try.

Prathap

Hi @Sameer_Shaikh20

Are you sure, that there are valid imanges on this tape? Im asking you because of this:

Media ID: EX0180 Partner: -
Media Type: HCART3
Volume Group: 000_00000_TLD
Application: Netbackup
Media Flags: 1

Images: 1
Valid Images: 1

If you look at the bold highlights, you can see that there is only one Image / Valid Image and the Kilobytes field there is almost 1.2 GB, is this correct?

I know that expiration date is on June/2018...I ran the same command in my envirionment, is attached, take a look. Another thing, in your environment master and media are the same? I asking because in my environment the fields Last Write Host and Master Host are not the same.

Does this tape already expired? or Belongs an oldest media server or already decomissioned media server?

Other thing, I saw that you are running the nbu commands $ sudo, have you permissions to run all the nbu commands? From NBU Console and command line etc..

Regards,

Thiago

Another idea, maybe the backup image on this tape is not a primary copy (nor 1st) only secondary or even 3rd...

please post the output from bpimagelist -backupid (the-one-you-did-find-in-catalog) -L
