Odd 129 Failure

Learning_Everyd

Need help with something odd.  I have several policies failing with 129.  Here's the thing, I can see the directory has over 4TB of space available.  I can UNC to the directory, but other than that the backup fails.  Any suggestions?

Thanks

Are you over your High Water Mark?

Are they new clients or exisiting ones that are failing?

NBU does some funny calculations when thinking about running a new backup

Also remind us of your version etc.

Check permissions - If I re-call correctly Netbackup need admin rights.

Let us know if this is basic or advanced disk.

Also if you back up to groups or specific storage unit.

If you back up to a group then take a look at this (an old one but has some valid ideas):

http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH87559

To see what NetBackup thinks of the disk space use the following from the admincmd directory:

nbstlutil diskspaceinfo -stype AdvancedDisk (or SharedDisk, NearStore, PureDisk)

I think there is an undocumented command to reset the value if it is wrong but can't find it at the moment

Please post STU config:

From cmd on master:

<install-path>\veritas\netbackup\bin\admincmd\bpstulist -label <STU-name> -L

Please confirm that you have the following log folders for troubleshooting:
admin, bpdm and bptm.

Although your error is different, please verify that NBU services have correct permissions on network drive as per this TN: http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH56362
