Oracle Backup RMAN Sync when AIRing

Hi Team,

We are trying to Take Oracle Database Backup using Netbackup Agent.

When the Backup goes to Disk or Tape, That Information is synced with RMAN on the Client . But if we Replicate the backup (AIR ) to another location, Client RMAN does not picks it up . How do we inform Oracle that there is a backup available at a Different site too.

Hello,

there is no need to inform RMAN about it.RMAN Handle (backup identifier) is still the same after image AIRing. When you need to restore from another Master, you just specify NB_ORA_SERV=<another master> in allocate channel command.

If you have a separate RMAN Catalog db, important to perform a cold/offline backup and replicatate to remote site as well.
