 Hi

When using Oracle co-pilot with a 5240 Appliance is it still necessary to run the oracle_link script to link oracle to the NetBackup libraries?

I wasn't sure if this was still a required step as NFS shares from the Appliance was now being used.

thanks

oracle_link is not required when using Oracle Intelligent policy (used by copilot incr merge). For intelligent policy the library location is dynamically passed as an argument to the client.

Brilliant - thanks for the quick reply.

I assume the Oracle agent is still required on all the Oracle hosts......

Yes, but its part of the client installation, not a separate install like it used to be back in 6.x
