Oracle backup failing with 96 error code

Hi,

We have LAN-free backup for Oracle DBs. I have volume pools available. The backup speed is 120MB/s. However,  we cannot get a full backup successful. The database size is about 6TB. Please advise.

BTW, i can confirm that we have scratch tapes available.

Thanks.

Rgds

You need to look at all relevant components that is involved in the media request -
Storage Unit (specified in the policy) that is made up of media server, specific robot, specific media type (density)
Volume pool and Retention (specified in the policy)

Run available_media report (save output to a file if output is too big).
Verify that there is media in the Volume Pool (already used media that can be appended to must have same retention) or else in Scratch pool, with correct density and in the robot where the media server is attached to.
