Most of cases or solution proposal talkng about the local-to-cloud backup, I would like to get some ideas about how NetBackup backup for Cloud. in comparing to traditional IaaS backup, Is it achievable? how to achieve it and where do I need to pay attention?

Generally speaking it should not be possible, whatever you build in the walled garden will stay there including any backups. Even in case of IaaS you will not have access to undelying snapshots with notable exception of VMware on AWS

I stumbled upon this presentation:

Keeping Your Cloud Workloads Protected

Slide 16 and 17 seem to be what you need, right?

you are right. however, you will find that PaaS backup needs are more and more than in the reality.

Thanks Marianne,

seems not my need, refer to MS PaaS intro, service includes OS but not allow to install anything, it is difference with page 16-17 talking about IaaS or private Cloud.
