Patch SYM09-002

My question is there a way to apply a patch SYM09-002 to 6.5.2 or is it required to upgrade to 6.5.3 first to apply SYM09-002 (hot fix 6.5.3.1)?

If so what does "Products Applied:" mean?  I interrupt to mean that the patch applies to these version of netbackup but another person thinks it means you can install the patch to 6.5.2.  The only exception I saw to this appeared to be 6.0 MP7

The only resolution for 6.5.2 is to upgrade to 6.5.3 & then apply the HotFix.

Before you can apply patch 6.5.3.1 you have to upgrade to v6.5.3.

By "Products Applied", they're referring to products that are affected by whatever bug/problem they are talking about. In this case, just about everything. =)

Hope that helps.

I assume form the response that hot Patch SYM09-002 does not exist for 6.5.2 such as 6.5.2.1 is this correct.

jamison, I believe if you open a case with us and make the request, there IS an EEB replacement vnetd for 6.5.2 available which we could give to you...but we'd really rather you just applied 6.5.3 and 6.5.3.1 :)
