Pause NBU Backup schdule due to Network upgrade

Level 4

Hello All,

We are installing New Supervisors and replace 4G interswitch link with 20G, We have 2 Vlan- 1st Backup Vlan and 2nd User Vlan.

Since we have Activity to Replace 4GB interswitch to 20 GB which will get both the Vlan Down and will make no Backup to work during Activity, I have already Re-Schdule Backup for the Given time of Network Activity Upgrade.

Please advise if there is any thing else which I should take Care during Activity.

Thanks in Advance..

# nbpemreq -terminate
This will stop the nbpem daemon and the associated nbpem_email and nbproxy processes.

# nbpemreq -suspend_scheduling
This will stop the nbpem daemon from scheduling backups.  Manual backups can still be initiated.

# nbpemreq -resume_scheduling
This will allow the nbpem daemon to resume normal scheduling of backups.

Another option:

nbrbutil –suspend
Suspend NetBackup resource allocations.
