Perform snapshot without quiescing if quiesced snapshot fails

for the first time, I tried "Perform snapshot without quiescing if quiesced snapshot fails" option with a VMware policy, unfortunately the creation of the snapshot still fails cause the quiescence and no further snapshot without quiescience are done

Do you know someone who has this option enabled and working?

NetBackup 8.1.2 master and media server

Vcenter is 6.7

Have you tried performing the snapshots from the vCenter interface for the VM?

The action is performed by NetBackup by using VMware API, and if it is failing, you need to investigate on the VMware side and on the VM itself.

The snapshot creation fails only because the quiescence.

I made an attempt creating a snapshot from the vcenter without quiescence, and it works.

With "Perform snapshot without quiescing if quiesced snapshot fails" option enabled I would expect a last attempt by the policy to create a snapshot without quiescence and it doesn't happen

Try to create a new policy for that system, disable quiescence from the advanced settings and try to run the backup.
If this backup is working and the "Perform snapshot without quiescing if quiesced snapshot fails" fails, I thing it is a bug and you must open a case to veritas.

This option is new for 8.2 and may have problems.
