We have an environment in which exchange is configured with DAG and backups are happening through Symantec Veritas Netbackup 7.0. We have been trying to run a restoration for a Public Folder database using netbackup but the same fails to write any data to the location which is specified. 11/20/2013 13:18:51 - Warning bpbrm (pid=13712) from client server_name: WRN - can't create directory: \\?\UNC\Server_Name\Folder_pub02 (file:///?\UNC\Server_Name\Folder_pub02) (WIN32 183: Cannot create a file when that file already exists. ) 11/20/2013 13:18:51 - Warning bpbrm (pid=13712) from client server_name: WRN - error writing file: \\Server_Name\Folder_pub02\Database (file://Server_Name\Folder_pub02/Database) 11/20/2013 13:18:51 - Warning bpbrm (pid=13712) from client server_name: WRN - disk full at byte: 0 11/20/2013 13:18:51 - Warning bpbrm (pid=13712) from client server_name: WRN - wanted buffer size: 7168 It shows the file is being read in the task but once it reaches the end we get an error and the restore fails. Can someone please assist on how to restore a PUBLIC FOLDER database from Netbackup 7.

Hi Praveen DCosta,

can you share a little more info on this?

can you provide the detailed status of the job?

what settings are you choosing when running the restore?

where are you directing the restore? dose the NetBackup Client Service has appropriate permissions to write to that path?
