Hi Team,
I am running NBU 6.5.4 on Redhat 5 and I need to exclude set of dirctories and files in the backup which are un necessary,
I have read a discussion saying go to hostproperties--> client settings--> and exclude list
but I couldnt find there?.
am I missing anything here?.

you have to create an exclude_list file on the client in /usr/openv/netbackup. There are T/N's available & I will source some for you shortly!

You need to open the client properties of a perticular client from admin console and then browse perticluar directory or path which needs to exclude.

touching on with what Andy pointed out...
Unix clients - need to use the exclude_list file - add the dir/files/ext manually
Windows clients - you can use the Remote console, selecting the client and then browse the client dir/files to exclude.
Are you using Java or Windows remote console
