Hi All,

Has anybody come across below issue.  I'm seeing this issue for the first time and my feel is this could be a network issue.  Any thoughts.

Error attached.

Thanks,

You should bring this to the local dba and let them do the troubleshooting

I do not think is a network issue.

Has the NLS_LANG been defined at  the database layer ?

Do you have logging enabled on media server and the client?

Curious to see media server bpbrm log and client'sdbclient log.

Please copy logs to .txt files and upload as File attachments.

Are those DB instance names seen in the error.jpg? If so, it does resemble the FORMAT string that specify in RMAN backup script.

Hi Nicolai,

NLS_LANG not defined but it is not defined for other database in our environment as well.  Also this backup occassionaly runs fine may be once in 5 times.

Thanks,

Hi Roger,

It is definitely not the DB name, this junk character seems changing.

Thanks

There seem to be mostly socket errors in the logs. Probably best to log a Support call with Veritas.
