RMAN backup failure

Hello

I need help on rman backup here. I have created rman using netbackup rman templates. However, when the script is called via NetBackup scheduler it returns "syntax" error. But when i just copy and paste rman part on the rman promt.. the backup just works fine.

I have also tried using OIP which works fine but i need to use rman compression. Any suggestions please.

Here i am attaching rman script and its output.

Please help.

Thanks

Pat

Here is my script

try changing

TARGET_CONNECT_STR=sys/"oracle#123"

 to

TARGET_CONNECT_STR=sys/"oracle\#123"

Hello,

In same script location you can find <script_name>.out file. Kindly share that file.

You can also check if script exit with 0
Run script with below option
bash -x Backup-script. sh

For successful backup first your backup script must need to exit with status 0.

Regards

Pat, did you try it yet?

Apologies for my delayed response and Thanks for your responses.

It was merely a syntax error fixed by creating new script. DBA was just trying to save his efforts.

LOL, in my experience 95% of my issues from the DBA " Netbackup is not working" comes down to a typo in the scripts - there are variables for client, policy - for some reason they have to be spelled correctly and case sensitive on unix!

NetBackup 9.1.0.1 on Solaris 11, writing to Data Domain 9800 7.7.4.0
duplicating via SLP to LTO5 & LTO8 in SL8500 via ACSLS
