Hi All,

We had tape library issue with unable to intialize the library . IBM engineer has fixed the library issue and I can see library working normally. But I can see the status in Netbackup console the below error. When I tried to run library inventory , it throws the error 202 (unable to sense the library) Can you please help me to fix it.

Master and Media Server same : nb5230

Library : IBM TS3310

NBU status: 830, EMM status: All compatible
                    drive paths are down, but media is available

What did the tech do?  Replace any components?

Probably the best thing to do now is delete the robot and drives in NetBackup and rediscover them. 

In addition to what will_restore suggested, try rebboting library and server. Make sure you do powercycle in following sequence
1. Power cycle library
2. Wait till library initializes
3. Restart Server.
4. Run device config wizard.

Do you know how to drop down to cmd on the Appliance and elevate to superuser?

Run scan command to see if the OS can see the library and tape drives correctly.

Please show us output of 'scan' as well as 'tpconfig -l' to see difference between what the OS sees and NBU config.
