Recover Netbackup catalog & BMR catalog

Hello Everybody, 

 

I would like to know if restoring the netbackup catalog could recover also the BMR catalog, if not, what are the needed steps to do it.

BMR catalog should be recovered along with the NBU catalog.

Yes. As long as you do a Full recovery to include relational databases.

BMR does not have a "catalog".  It has databases.  They are backed up along with the NBU catalog/databases as part of the normal catalog backup.

BMRDB files (there are four) are found int the same location as the normal NBU databases.  They only live on the Master Server.

The BMRDB can be rebuilt/recreated from existing client/server information. You can use this TECH article to assist you:

Thanks to Jaime for pointing out the correct terminology there ... BMR DB, not catalog.

I think given Jaimes more detailed answer the solution should be moved to his post.
