Ho Rohit,

Is this a new install of an NDMP host? Has this ever worked? What type of device are you trying to backup? What steps did you go through to get this working? What are the policy settings for this host?

Those will get us started

Status code 2001 means "No drives are available for this job", and 2009 means "All compatible drive paths are down but media is available". Both suggest tape drives are in DOWN state. Check status of drives on "tpconfig -d". I also recommend you to run "tpautoconf -verify " and "tpautoconf -probe " to confirm Credentials and device recognition.

Hi Zee,

Yes its worked previosuly at a first glance we get the error of the NDMP password error after reseting the password the backup is failling with the above mentioed error.

And the drive is locally attached to NDMP host.

Hi Ishikawa,

as the Drives are locally connected to the NDMP host and I checked in the Media server the driver of the drives are updated and the drives are not down in the media server.

Is I have to run the above command on the NDMP host aslo ??

Here is an example.

To check status of your drives, run "tpconfig -d".

To confirm what ndmp credentials you have registered on NetBackup, run "tpconfig -dnh -all_hosts".

> "C:\Program Files\Veritas\Volmgr\bin\tpautoconf" -dnh -all_hosts

>  "C:\Program Files\Veritas\Volmgr\bin\tpautoconf" -verify netapp
