Hi,

I am trying to remove VRTSat package from my Solaris 10 X84 -64 bits using pkgrm command but I see below warnings before removal, is it safe to proceed with removal?

root@test # pkgrm VRTSat

The following package is currently installed:
   VRTSat  Symantec Product Authentication Service
           (i386) 4.3.32.4

Do you want to remove this package? [y,n,?,q] y

It looks like you have VERITAS Cluster Server installed, which relies on the Authentication service.  If you're still actively using VCS, it would be a bad idea to remove the AT package.  :)

Why did you want to remove it?

Actually I would like to reconfigure Authentication a new mode (Root +AB), when I try to do that from ICS installer options it tells me "you can't modify the current mode"

Is there a way to configure Auhentication in a new mode?

Can you stop vxatd and restart it in Root + AB mode successfully?  (`vxatd -a -r`)

Honestly, with VCS in the picture I am completely ignorant about how to offer specific advice as it's way out of my area of "expertise."  You might want to consult our documentation (some links below) or go straight to opening a case - I don't know if you need to open a NetBackup case or a Cluster case, though.  :)
