Removing media protection?

I have several tapes that aren't set to expire for 48 hours but I want to go ahead and cycle the protection early. How can I do that?

You can use bpexpdate -d 0 -ev <mediaid> -force

This will expire the meida.

bpexpdate -m <mediaid> -d 0

the -d 0 means expire all images on tape.

The force is handy if you dont want it to prompt each time, i.e. when using a sciprt
