Replication Director Functionality - NetApp

Hello,

I am just trying to ascertain what is currently supported by Replication Director. I was led to believe that currently only CIFS and block storage can be replicated but I am more interesting in finding out if VMware is also supported on NFS or FC if it is not already.

Currently in 7.5, only CIFS and NFS are supported.
Block level SAN volumes, or anything to do with application level awareness (MS SQL, Oracle, MS Exchange, etc.) are not yet supported.

NFS as VMware Datastores will be supported in 7.6, there has been a lot of interests in this.

Thanks for the response.

Like many others, I am looking forward to this functionality so we can move away from VMware snapshot policies - makes more sense to harness the NetApps snapshots.

Do we have an expected availability date for 7.6?

No specific dates available, but 7.5.0.6 has been referenced, so we will see that first. Let's hope the one after that will be 7.6.
