Restarting NBU Services..

Hi to all,

    I am planning to restart NBU services on all media servers and on the the Master server as well. Can someone tell if what is the best practice to do it, restart the NBU services first on the Master server before I restart NBU services on the media servers or should I restart first the services on the media servers before I can restart services on the Master server??? Thanks!

First make sure you are not running any job on any of the servers and then you can restart the services on media or master as that will not make any difference.

i always tend to shut down the media servers first, then the master server, and then restart in the reverse order. so start master first, then media servers

Richs24 is right, you should start master first then media servers if you're using NBU 6.5. After that make sure they are ACTIVES by running vmoprcmd
